The rock singer, 39, was revealed to have left the band earlier today in a statement from Kasabian.
The decision was apparently a mutual one between all involved, with personal issues for Meighan being cited.
Now the Leicester-born star has taken to social media to share more about his state of mind.
Writing on Twitter, the former Kasabian band member gave some insight into how he is feeling following the big news.
Tom tweeted: "Following today's announcement I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well."
He continued: "I'm in a really good place now. Thanks for all your love and support.
The band had previously announced in a statement shared via their group Twitter account: "Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent.
"Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.
"We will not be commenting further."
Kasabian with Tom as its lead singer had enjoyed commercial and critical success throughout the 2000s and 2010s, with the rocker being known for an intense on-stage persona.
The singer previously spoke out about his break-up from partner Kim James in 2016, with whom he shares 8-year-old daughter Mimi Malone Meighan.
Speaking to GQ the following year, the Tom spoke about the impact the breakup had on him and his mental health.
Tom revealed: “I was making myself ill, I ain't gonna lie, my mind was jolted.
"It might have been a build-up from years and years. I wasn't taking responsibility and it affected everyone around me, horrendous."
The singer also lost a close friend in 2017, saying the death left him very affected.
"I ain't gonna go into detail. I’m all right. But the old me would've gone crazy. I would’ve gone on one, and not thought about it.
"I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. It’s not fair. Anyway, I’m gonna stop this . . . "
We hope Tom feels good and we can hear his singing voice again soon!
